Kay joins Nerd Lunch to Discuss Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Kay and Michael May join the Nerd Lunch crew to discuss Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

One of us left our first showing of the film way more pumped up than the rest. If you’ve listened to all the Star Wars drilldown episodes of Nerd Lunch, who it is may surprise you.

Topics discussed on this podcast include Castle Vader, Donnie Yen, and Star Wars ladies. We touch a little on what the pre-movie novel Catalyst and the Rogue One novelization itself can add to the movie. We have mixed feelings when it comes to CGI characters. There’s also a bit on how watching the original Star Wars (A New Hope) changed for us after seeing this movie.

This group may not agree on all the details but interestingly enough we all came to a pretty similar conclusion on Rogue One overall.

Nerd Lunch Episode 258: Rogue One Drill Down is available on iTunes, Stitcher, and Libsyn as well as embedded below.

You’ll find my reviews of Catalyst and the Rogue One novelization here on FANgirl.

Kay

She grew up wanting to be an astronaut. After seeing Star Wars, she wanted to be Princess Leia, Han Solo, and an astronaut. Life’s taken her on a bit of a different path, but she’s okay with that. Kay is FANgirl's resident geek fashion expert and co-host of the Hyperspace Theories podcast. She reviews books and movies for the site with a heart for storytelling and a mind that likes to analyze. Kay's been a guest on various podcasts sharing her love and knowledge of storytelling, film-making, fashion, and of course, Star Wars. Most days are filled with her work as a creative services professional - designing websites & branding, photographing, voice acting, editing, and more. Kay spends the little bit of free time she has reading, costuming, and, of course, making pew pew noises. She would pick up more jobs and hobbies if she was a Time Lord.
