Giving Thanks – and Another Wynde Excerpt

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I have many things to be grateful for this year, but with my head down writing on Wynde, I’ll make this quick. First, many thanks to the people who take time to read and comment on FANgirl. Second, thanks to everyone who has contributed this year, especially Linda, Kay, Mary, Megan, Priya, and Racheal. These regular contributors stepped up during the summer, and still now, to prepare more pieces so I can keep writing. And all these ladies have learned the value of Lex’s keen editorial eye. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the man who wields the red pen of death. Finally, thanks to all the places and people who supported me this year through some amazing opportunities: GeekGirlCon, Suvudu, Star Wars Insider, ActionFlickChick.com, and the ForceCast.

We have a yearly tradition, dating back to the early TFN fanfic days, where I offered a treat to the faithful readers of my stories on Thanksgiving. (Those readers eventually formed the core unit of the Lomin Ale Cantina, where we discuss all things Star Wars and pop culture.) While I was reviewing Wynde I came across a scene that I thought might be perfect for the occasion – it has some colonists, space turkeys (of sorts), and a meal. For an excerpt of Wynde jump on ever to TriciaBarr.com.

Back to writing for me. Have a great holiday. May the Force Be With You and the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor. We’ll see you after the holiday break!
