Limited-Time THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU Offerings at Disney World

For The Mandalorian and Grogu, Star Wars returns to its once-familiar May theatrical release date. In the Disney Parks, this means another round of new Star Wars beginning on May 22, a few weeks after the annual May the Fourth festivities.

At Disney World the highlight again is the new food and beverage offerings. For the first time, Grogu’s iconic blue cookies have appeared as an in-universe treat. Available at Kat Saka’s Kettle in packs of three, the Parks version of the cookie consists of a macaron top, a layer of pineapple cream, and firm blue chocolate bottom. While it’s not a classic macaron visually or in taste, the flavor is a good fit for the not-quite-Earth menu items throughout Galaxy’s Edge and this version of the cookie presumably holds up better in the already-scorching Florida heat.

Oga’s Cantina in Batuu East has a special menu for The Mandalorian and Grogu promotions, with gummy candy frogs added into the Oga’s Obsession and Rodian Ration jello treats, both of which have new flavor profiles for now, as well. The longstanding bubbling dry-ice drinks, the Bespin Fizz with alcohol and the Carbon Freeze without, are joined for a limited time by a third option: Spotchka, a tasty blue cocktail that holds up to the cantina’s best.

Two additional merchandise items connect directly to the new movie, as well. The BDX Droid popcorn bucket has a fully adjustable head and legs and light-up eyes. As usual, you receive the pre-bagged popcorn separately if you’d prefer not to eat out of your new purchase. The latest sipper features Grogu sitting atop a Mandalorian jetpack, a perch he assumes repeatedly in the film. Again, you’ll get a drink cup for your soda if you’re keeping the sipper pristine. Both items can be scheduled for mobile order pickup at multiple locations in Hollywood Studios.

Building on the May the Fourth additions, several new PhotoPass Magic Shots are available within Galaxy’s Edge. You can still have several different poses with Grogu, of course, but now you can also join the Anzellan quartet or Rotta the Hutt for your Disney World memories.

The new version of the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride experience also launched on May 22 at both Hollywood Studios and Disneyland. This update is definitely an upgrade, and will now put Smuggler’s Run consistently in the rotation of must-ride attractions.
