Fashion Favs from Triple Force Friday

We’ve had Force Fridays before but this month brought the first Triple Force Friday – promising a release of a boatload of Star Wars merchandise not only tied to this winter’s movie event The Rise of Skywalker, but also the new TV show The Mandalorian and video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

While we’ve come so far in the geek fashion world from geek fashion offerings only meaning t-shirts – there were a lot of t-shirts in this release. Most of the designs seem to be coming from Fifth Sun. You’ll be able to find some of those Fifth Sun designs at other retailers as well but Fifth Sun’s website will probably be the place to go to find the most style options for a particular design. So prepare your torso region and then check out thee non-torso fashion pieces below that. Here are my picks for the my fashion favorites that arrived with Triple Force Friday.

The Tops

Honorable Mention: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Spirit Jersey for Adults ($64.95 at Shop Disney). Initially only available in store this shirt is now online too. I got to see this one in person and while it’s a cool design, I wasn’t a fan of the fabric feel or the price.

P.S. If you’re wondering why I’m noting whether something includes Rose or not, this Vanity Fair article on the perplexing issue of the character appearing in only some versions of designs for the new merchandise might be the most comprehensive coverage: Where’s Rose? Kay

She grew up wanting to be an astronaut. After seeing Star Wars, she wanted to be Princess Leia, Han Solo, and an astronaut. Life’s taken her on a bit of a different path, but she’s okay with that. Kay's been a guest on various podcasts sharing her love and knowledge of storytelling, film-making, fashion, and of course, Star Wars. Most days are filled with her work as a creative services professional - designing websites & branding, photographing, voice acting, editing, and more.
