Assembly of Geeks: Captain America, Trekkies & Anomalies

This week’s Assembly of Geeks episode “Captain America, Trekkies & Anomalies” is posted. From the show notes:

Just like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, this episode gets going with some action! When the smoke clears, we share our thoughts on the movie itself.  Was Captain America 2 better than the first one?  Where does it rank with the rest of the Marvel movies?  Did Admiral 80s get up and go to the bathroom at the wrong time?

Tune and and find out!

Jen Rhodes of the Anomaly Podcast joins today’s Assembly meeting to discuss fandom, Star Trek and sci-fi make-believe.

We’ll discuss the plans for not one but two Star Wars Day themed TV episodes, take a look at Captain America’s box office numbers, find out about Marvel’s 14 year plan and discuss plans for yet another 80s movie sequel.

All this, plus some listener reviews on Captain America 2.  This week’s episode is action-packed, patriotic and geek-tastic.

I definitely had an “Oh! Now I get it!” moment a few days after listening to this episode when I finally got to see Winter Soldier. I went in to the movie expecting to enjoy it, and I came out loving it! Avengers is still my favorite, but I think Winter Solider has moved into my second favorite spot.

Another fun episode, and thank you for posting notices for them here. I started following your blog after your first appearance on ForceCast/Rebel Force Radio and your notices here got me listening to this podcast starting back in January and it quickly has become a favorite.
