Hunger Games Fan Gets the Scoop

Last week Lionsgate revealed their Catching Fire billboard via their most active fangirl – Tori on The Hunger Games Explorer. (via The Hob). I’m sharing a screen capture of her Tumblr, because her About section simply says “fangirl.” This is what you call a passion project. Last year’s The Hunger Games was bumped to Number 14 on the overall domestic box office list on Box Office Mojo by Iron Man 3 this year and Man of Steel didn’t even threaten at Number 54. Odds makers picked Catching Fire for fourth place in the 2013 box office, with Man of Steel winning the year. Lionsgate seems to feel the fans may move the odds in their favor.

According to E! Online, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth start filming Mockingjay today in Atlanta. Lionsgate has announced several new cast additions over the past couple of weeks, including Deadline confirming their months-old scoop of Julianne Moore as President Coin. With Catching Fire tickets going on sale October 1st, the media push seems to be ramping up. Mockingjay.net spotted early set pictures of Lawrence and Hemsworth on PopSugar, including one of Hemsworth in costume.
