Five Might Be the Breakout Seasons: The Clone Wars and Fringe

Amid all my travels last week, I thought it might be a bust for catching up on some of my favorite television shows. Luckily I had already seen the Season Five premiere of The Clone Wars at Celebration VI. Megan Crouse, our reviewer for the animated Star Wars television show, is back with her review of the first episode, “Revival.”

Fringe premiered its fifth season on Friday, another opener I had been looking forward to. Showrunner J.H. Wyman told TVLine that going into this season he had done some “soul-searching,” asking himself, “‘What would I like? What would I want, demand, if I had invested four years in this show?’” As far as I’m concerned, the first episode definitely delivered. I’ll be back later this week with more thoughts about Fringe and some of the great storytelling elements in play for its final season.
