Course of the Force 2013

Course of the Force is an Olympic-torch style relay through California in advance of San Diego Comic-Con. While many of the relays are full, you can still support the Make-A-Wish Foundation in a number of ways.

As the official apparel merchandise partner, Her Universe has teamed with Russell Walks to create shirts and hoodies for women and men. $5 from each shirt and $10 from each hoodie sold will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Another way to support the event is by backing a participating team like James Floyd’s Team Hondo or cosplayers Shea Standefer and Victoria Schmidt with Tauntaun Vs. Wampa.

Participants are encouraged to dress for the occasion – in other words, show their Star Wars flair. StarWars.com announced several celebrity costumed participants including “Chris Colfer (Glee), Adrianne Curry (America’s Next Top Model), Jordana Brewster (Fast and Furious 6), Wilmer Valderamma (That 70’s Show), Jamie King (Sin City), and Molly Quinn (Castle).” The event’s July 3rd post details where and when people can catch the festivities, which kick off on Tuesday, July 9th at Skywalker Ranch.

Legs from Santa Monica to Huntington Beach (July 13) and Oceanside to Pacific Beach (July 15) are still available. You can register here. For more information on the event, check out the Course of the Force official website.
