NEWS: Star Wars + Ocean’s Eleven = Scoundrels

Yesterday, Star Wars Books teased that there would be exciting news in the Expanded Universe today. While waiting on the big announcement, ClubJade provided the entertainment and EUCantina posted detailed speculation this morning.

And the news is… Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive reveal of the title and cover for Timothy Zahn’s next Star Wars novel, which goes on sale December 26. You can head over to their website to check out the details.

The cover art is fantastic, and the teaser blurb is great fun. Han, Chewie, Lando and a gang of scoundrels on an Ocean’s Eleven style caper? I can’t wait. It’s pretty incredible considering that at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con Zahn was still pitching ideas, and now we’ll get the finished novel before the end of 2012.

While the upcoming December offering has a title now, I think the #ZahnSolo nickname might stick.
