Mockingjay: Part 1 Trailer

With the premiere of the Mockingjay: Part 1 trailer last week, #HungerGamesExclusive released Issue 2, which includes an interview with Jennifer Lawrence. The first issue has a great interview with Julianne Moore where she talks about making President Coin believable and relatable from outside Katniss’ limited point of view. Lawrence adds to the discussion of the layers that we will see in the movie, including a look inside the Capitol and President Snow’s machinations.Katniss Peeta

Speaking of her co-stars Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) and Moore, Lawrence says:

“[I]t’s just nice to have some more women in powerful roles. With Cressida and her crew, Katniss sees people who have dedicated their lives the cause.”

The driving point of second issue is to emphasize the heroic choices that an individual must make. Based on the trailer, it appears Katniss is going to change the rules that everyone else in Panem wants her to play by.

Mockingjay: Part 1 opens November 21. Tickets are on sale October 29.
