Star Wars Legends Fan Trailer
Earlier this week Bryan Young at Big Shiny Robot shared this incredible fan trailer by Marc Rienzo. It imagines what a theatrical trailer might look like for the Expanded Universe, now newly rechristened as the Star Wars Legends stories.
Naturally I particularly enjoyed the appearance of some of my most favorite EU characters, including Jaina and Jag (sealed with a kiss!), Mara, Kyp, and Rogue Squadron.
EU author Tim Zahn shared the link on his Facebook page. Previously Zahn had offered his reactions to the Lucasfilm announcement. His full thoughts are worth reading, but his conclusion is an inspiring reminder:
Bottom line: let’s all sit back and relax and see what new adventures are offered to us, both in new books and new movies. It’ll be Star Wars, and that’s what counts.
Tricia Barr took her understanding of brand management and marketing, mixed it with a love of genre storytelling, and added a dash of social media flare to create FANgirl Blog, where she discusses Star Wars, fandom, and strong female characters. She also writes about Star Wars for Random House’s science fiction and fantasy blog Suvudu.com and Star Wars Insider magazine and is a contributor for Her Universe’s Year of the Fangirl. Her FANgirl opinions can be heard on the podcasts Assembly of Geeks and RebelForce Radio Presents Fangirls Going Rogue.
Tricia has completed her first novel, Wynde – a military science fiction with a fantastical twist that features heroines Vespa and Gemini. For excerpts and tales of her adventures in creating a fictional universe, hop over to TriciaBarr.com.

First: Terrific fan trailer! Looks and sounds fantastic.
Second: Makes me weep, knowing that this is what we’re NOT going to get.
Even if I like Ep7, it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t want this too!
