Kay Joins the I Read Movies Podcast to Discuss The Last Jedi’s Novelization

About once a month Paxton Holley reads a movie novelization and then records a run-through on what the novelization includes, adds, and changes from the source material on his podcast I Read Movies. If you’ve listened to Episode 38 of Hyperspace Theories you know Tricia, B.J. and I gave an overview of our general feelings towards The Last Jedi: Expanded Edition as well as a few likes and dislikes.

This month Pax invited me on his show to take a much deeper dive into that same novelization. In an episode appropriately titled “Star Wars – The Last Jedi (2018) by Jason Fry”, Pax and I take it all in chronologically – plot moment by plot moment. I attempt to remember exactly which scenes can also be seen on the home release’s deleted scenes. We have fun noting our favorite added dialogue. And we turn our critical eye on how additions help or hinder characters.

You’ll also find I Read Movies on Stitcher and iTunes.

You can listen to Pax and I discuss Star Wars with more people than just each other on the Nerd Lunch podcast by exploring the Nerd Lunch tag right here on FANgirl.

And if somehow you want to hear even more from me on The Last Jedi novelization, you can read my written review.

Kay

She grew up wanting to be an astronaut. After seeing Star Wars, she wanted to be Princess Leia, Han Solo, and an astronaut. Life’s taken her on a bit of a different path, but she’s okay with that. Kay is FANgirl's resident geek fashion expert and co-host of the Hyperspace Theories podcast. She reviews books and movies for the site with a heart for storytelling and a mind that likes to analyze. Kay's been a guest on various podcasts sharing her love and knowledge of storytelling, film-making, fashion, and of course, Star Wars. Most days are filled with her work as a creative services professional - designing websites & branding, photographing, voice acting, editing, and more. Kay spends the little bit of free time she has reading, costuming, and, of course, making pew pew noises. She would pick up more jobs and hobbies if she was a Time Lord.
