WonderCon@Home: The Science of WandaVision

If I had been a kid thinking about a science or technology career in high school, The Science of WandaVision panel held at WonderCon 2021 would have sealed the deal for me to pursue a STEM career. The team from Fascinating Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gear-Based Technologies podcast tackle several specific topics from probability hexes to the idea of a Big Bang within an existing universe. Some of the things they cover:

  • How does a probability hex work?
  • Is magic simply science we can’t explain yet?
  • The science behind runes
  • Wanda’s chaos magic as a thermodynamic concept of entropy.

If you’re a fan of WandaVision and science this panel is a fascinating listen. I would encourage kids to watch as well as it introduces many high level concepts in approachable ways.
