Discussing the Arrogance of the Jedi at Dragon Con

The Jedi of the Republic had the Force and still one man appeared to be able to orchestrate their downfall. Palpatine didn’t really take down the Jedi all by himself though. What or who else played a part?

Along with fellow panelists Natalie Sloggett and Lindsey Cepak, I got to discuss the role the Jedi played in a Star Wars Track panel called Arrogance of the Jedi. Our moderator was Brian Larsen and together we went through whether Luke Skywalker was right about the organization in The Last Jedi as well as what systems and attitudes made it easier for a Sith Lord’s plan to work.

Listen to the audio below as we go through The Prophecy, individual behavior, emotional expression, and even how the First Order was influenced by the Jedi.

Thanks to Tosche Station Radio for recording this audio and allowing its use here. The Jedi and the Force are some of my favorite topics to discuss in Star Wars so I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this panel.

She grew up wanting to be an astronaut. After seeing Star Wars, she wanted to be Princess Leia, Han Solo, and an astronaut. Life’s taken her on a bit of a different path, but she’s okay with that. Kay's been a guest on various podcasts sharing her love and knowledge of storytelling, film-making, fashion, and of course, Star Wars. Most days are filled with her work as a creative services professional - designing websites & branding, photographing, voice acting, editing, and more.
