Breaking Ranks and Blowing Minds: Kay Guests on Rebel Yell
Teresa Delgado and Steve Glosson, hosts of Disney Vault Talk’s Rebel Yell podcast, invited me on to discuss “Breaking Ranks,” the November 3rd episode of Star Wars Rebels.
After following the much-revered “Rise of the Old Masters,” this episode had its work cut out for it, but we were each able to find elements in this story that we enjoyed. Highlights from our discussion include Imperial recruit Zare Leonis, Clone Wars connections, and some speculation. Oh yeah, and there’s that part where I blow the hosts’ minds.
From the show notes:
Steve and Teresa are joined by Geek_Kay from Fangirl Blog to discuss the fourth episode proper of season one of Star Wars Rebels – Breaking Ranks. Ezra infiltrates the Empire posing as a cadet training to become a stormtrooper in order to acquire coordinates for a shipment that Hera and Kanan are on a mission to stop. Listen as Teresa and Steve have their minds blown by Kay as she drops some knowledge about the Empires secret powerful weapon and how it may play in to this episode of Rebels. All this leads to some fun speculation on the parts of our hosts as the Rebel Yell echoes across the GOLiverse.

Kay grew up wanting to be an astronaut. After seeing Star Wars, she wanted to be Princess Leia, Han Solo, and an astronaut. Life’s taken her on a bit of a different path for now, but she’s still a Star Wars fangirl at heart who enjoys surprising people with how geeky she really is. A voice actor, photographer, and artist who also consults in communications and marketing, Kay spends the little bit of free time she has reading, dancing around, writing, learning and, of course, making pew pew noises. You can follow her on Twitter.
