J.J. Abrams Keynote at DICE 2013

DICE 2013 in Las Vegas is the 16th annual gaming convention sponsored by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Today at 9:25 a.m. Pacific Time, J.J. Abrams will join Gabe Newell of Valve Corporation for the keynote discussion titled “Storytelling Across Platforms: Who Benefits Most, the Audience or the Player?” The DICE website has the full PDF press release.

The discussion won’t be live-streamed as originally announced – they were probably afraid Star Wars fans would crash the internet (or at least their site). Fortunately, gaming site Polygon indicates they will be liveblogging it, so keep an eye on their storystream for DICE 2013.  And USA Today reports the event will subsequently be made available on YouTube at Variety‘s channel.
