“There has been an awakening? Have you felt it?”Thanks to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, we’ve gotten our first glimpse at the highly anticipated sequel to Return of the Jedi. In today’s geek assembly meeting, we share our reactions to the trailer (including that ball droid and the new sword) and discuss how it was rolled out to the public. We’ll also compare reactions to the first Episode I trailer and figure out how it might apply to the new film.
We’ll also react to another trailer released last week – Jurassic World.
Other topics in this episode include the 30th anniversaries of Star Trek IV and The Ewok Adventure: Caravan of Courage. Merchman reacts to the news that Christian Bale had second thoughts about never playing Batman again. Also, there’s rumor that Supergirl might crossover with Arrow & The Flash, and a script for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is complete.
