Rebels Recon with Andi Gutierrez

This week’s episode of Star Wars Rebels, “Out of Darkness,” features Sabine and Hera on a solo adventure. It includes some interesting developments that tie into existing lore and perhaps give fans information for speculating about future plot developments. Each week, StarWars.com posts a short video segment called Rebels Recon, hosted by Lucasfilm social media correspondent Andi Gutierrez. She talks to creators and actors from the show, getting behind the scenes tidbits. In the latest installment, #6 in the series, Pablo Hidalgo gives some insight into the Kyber crystals and producers Carrie Beck and Dave Filoni discuss Hera and Sabine.

If the lore interests you, check out the discussion on this week’s Rebel Yell, where FANgirl contributor Kay ponders the possibilities presented by the Kyber crystals’ inclusion in Star Wars Rebels. Not only is Kay a great speculator, she has an eye for fashion. I bet she noticed all the cool Star Wars attire Andi Gutierrez wore. My favorite: the Her Universe Join The Rebellion tee.

Also up at StarWars.com, Mandolorian Mercs member Tom Hutchens explains the process in creating a Sabine helmet.

I did. I definitely noticed the cool Star Wars wardrobe. I’m in admiration of Andi’s clothes and cool job. I’m glad they’re doing these Rebels Recon episodes. They’re neat insights.
