Geeks Assemble!

The Assembly of Geeks podcast, born out of the Beyond the Screens podcast that I had joined earlier this year, has dropped its premiere podcast today. Topics will range from current geek happenings, like the recent Batfleck news, to timely discussions, such as what lunch box would you take to school this year. Jeff McGee, a/k/a Admiral Eighties, and myself will join host Scott Murray, a/k/a MerchMan, for weekly discussions.

In this episode we also feature an interview with Kenobi author John Jackson Miller!

You can follow the show’s Twitter feed @GANNINComm – Geek and Nerd News Intelligence Network – to keep up to date on news and events or check out our Facebook page.

From GANNIN: “The first geek assembly meeting has taken place and you can stream it here.  You can also stream/download it here and get the episode with show notes and links here.  WE’LL HAVE IT ON ITUNES AND STITCHER VERY SOON!”

Listened to all 90+ minutes. Great sound quality all around (I’m growing a keener ear for such things) and great quality. I felt like no one pulled any punches and it was just honest opinions and no butt kissing. Something we here at the Cantina Cast certainly appreciate! I love all sorts of fandoms, not just Star Wars so this is a really great idea for a podcast.

I can get my comic movie, LOTR, Harry Potter, Once Upon a Time, Hunger Games, and Star Wars opinions all in one place, and who knows what else you might turn me on to that I didn’t even know was out there before it’s all said and done. (By the way, I’m kind of in awe that there will be a new Harry Potter “Universe” movie. Holy Crap!)
