I thought about doing another April Fool’s prank this year, but life has just been way too busy – in a good way. Fortunately, Club Jade’s EXCLUSIVE: First look at Celebration VI programming and Suvudu’s Post-STAR WARS: FATE OF THE JEDI news and exclusive Epilogue by Timothy Zahn delivered some classic Star Wars fandom hilarity.

March exceeded all expectations, with a record-shattering incredible opening weekend for The Hunger Games movie and a #2 New York Times bestseller list opening for Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse, which features plenty of great heroines kicking ass. April is shaping up to be a great month in its own right, including a few exciting announcements here at FANgirl Blog, as I make my push to finish writing Wynde.

The Clone Wars Season Four Wrap-up – Now that the full fourth season of The Clone Wars has aired, I thought it would be fun to have Megan, Lex, and I take a look back at the twenty-two episodes and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the stories, character arcs, and the series as a whole at this point in its run.

Strong Female Heroines and the Heroine’s Journey – What better way to keep up the great momentum from The Hunger Games than to continue the two FANgirl blog series dedicated to the kinds of characters and stories that Suzanne Collins’ saga exemplifies? We’ll return to the medium of television to discuss the women of The Good Wife, and begin looking at some of the more specific ways that the Heroine’s Journey departs from the classical Hero’s Journey framework.
